Real Madrid star Ronaldo plans new career after football

Real Madrid forward Cristiano Ronaldo is already making plans for new career his after he finally hangs his boot with hopes to switch into the movie industry when he retired.

The 32-year-old Portugal skipper who wins his fifth Ballon d’Or just last month to march his arch-rival, Lionel Messi of Barcelona, has indicated his next move when he stops playing with a possible acting career ahead.

‘‘I am focused right now because my football career will finish one day – we all have to retire one day,’ Ronaldo told Sky Italia.

‘I know that day will come. But right now, I am enjoying the moment. When I am retired, I think I will have a good life. I don’t say that because of money. ‘I want to try other things; for example, to do movies. I started to plan my future when I was 27, 28 – a long time ago, I began preparing.

‘‘I have a good team, who work in my company, who start to build good things going forward. In football, I am very calm because I know they depend on me.’

A few footballers have moved into the movies following the conclusions of their career, with Vinnie Jones and Eric Cantona taking on acting roles.

Ronaldo has three years left on his contract at Real Madrid and does not expect to stop playing anytime soon.

Real Madrid lost to Barcelona in La Liga before going to Christmas as the Ronaldo and Co hoping to bounce back when the capital team take a trip to face Numancia in the Copa Del Rey January 3rd.
