Guardiola says no difference between West Ham & Man United

Pep Guardiola has said there is no difference between their Premier League clash with West Ham today and next week’s Manchester derby against rivals United.

Manchester City face West Ham in a late kickoff today, and Guardiola is of the opinion that there really isn’t any difference between playing against David Moyes’ West Ham and Jose Mourinho’s Manchester United in terms of points.

“It counts the same, three points. United is not six points,” said the City manager. “That is why it’s better to be calm and prepare for West Ham as well as possible.”

Guardiola also waved off suggestions he would rotate his squad in order to keep the players fresh ahead of the Manchester derby.
“I cannot deny we’re in better form than West Ham.

We have better results than West Ham. But why do I have to think it’s already done or that it will be easy? Please don’t say that word,” he warned.

“Why would I think it’s only West Ham so now we’re going to pick six or seven players from the second team to join us. I think it’s ridiculous. We have to respect them. And the best respect is to be serious and play as well as possible. That’s what we have done so far.”
