Drogba Finally reveals the text Salah sent to him while at Chelsea

Chelsea legend Didier Drogba has revealed the text Mohamed Salah sent to him during their playing days in Chelsea.

Salah a former Chelsea player was signed by Jose Mourinho from FC Basel in 2014 for a fee of £11 million but never gave him the time to settle down.

During his spells at the Stamford Bridge in the second half of the season he made 11 appearances and scored eight goals and in the following season, he scored more eight goals.

Despite his decent goal rate Mourinho was not convinced enough and loan the Egyptian to Fiorentina and in the following season, he was loaned to AS Roma before he was eventually sold to Roma.Salah confronted his Chelsea teammate Drogba for support when the goals were not coming forth.

How nice that Drogba was there for Salah when he needed some support. His reply was perfect, too.

When you have the confidence everything can happen and you can see now that he is scoring goals,” Drogba continued.

“I saw how he improved through the years. He had to go to Italy to perform and then come back to England show that he is the player we always believed he was.

“What he has done with the national team as well being able to qualify the country in a very difficult game I think he deserves it.”

Salah is currently the BBC African Footballer of the year for 2017., Didier Drogba has revealed the texts they exchanged when Salah was at his lowest ebb.

“There was a time when he was texting me: ‘I don’t score, I don’t know why’” Drogba revealed, according to BBC Sports.

“I said: ‘It is just a matter of time and confidence.’
