Chelsea make fresh move to replace former Super Eagles star

Chelsea are still in the market to get a capable replacement for their erstwhile technical director Michael Emenalo.

It is been reported that the Blues made a move for PSV technical director Marcel Brands as they look to fill the vacuum left by Emenalo.

Emenalo, who left the Blues last month after 10 years with the club, has since been named as sporting director of French club Monaco.

The former Nigeria international joined Chelsea in 2007 and worked in both scouting and coaching departments before being promoted to technical director in 2011.

During his time at Stamford Bridge, Chelsea won the Champions League in 2012, plus three Premier League titles, three FA Cups, the League Cup and Europa League.

The club also signed key players such as Eden Hazard, Thibaut Courtois and N’Golo Kante during his tenure.

However, according to De Telegraaf, the Blues are ready to step up their interest in Brands as a possible replacement.
